Day 1: Arrive in Guwahati (Assam)

  • Arrive at Guwahati Airport

  • Visit:

    • Kamakhya Temple

    • Umananda Island (world’s smallest river island)

    • Brahmaputra River cruise (sunset)

  • Overnight in Guwahati

Day 2: Guwahati → Shillong (Meghalaya)

Drive: ~3.5 hours

  • Stop at Umiam Lake (boating/photo stop)

  • Check-in at Shillong hotel

  • Visit Wards Lake, Police Bazaar, and local cafés

  • Overnight in Shillong

Day 3: Shillong → Cherrapunji Day Trip

  • Visit:

    • Mawsmai Caves

    • Seven Sisters Falls

    • Nohkalikai Falls

    • Eco Park

  • Optional: Short hike to Single Living Root Bridge

  • Return to Shillong for overnight stay

Day 4: Shillong → Kaziranga National Park (Assam)

Drive: ~6–7 hours

  • Reach Kaziranga by evening

  • Relax at resort

  • Overnight in Kaziranga

Day 5: Kaziranga → Kohima (Nagaland)

  • Morning jeep safari in Kaziranga (Eastern/Western range)

  • After breakfast, drive to Kohima, capital of Nagaland (~5 hrs)

  • Evening walk in local market

  • Overnight in Kohima

Day 6: Kohima & Naga Cultural Exploration

  • Visit:

    • Kohima War Cemetery

    • Kisama Heritage Village

    • State Museum (Naga tribes and artifacts)

  • Optional: Visit nearby Khonoma Eco Village

  • Overnight in Kohima

Day 7: Kohima → Dirang (Arunachal Pradesh)

Drive: ~7–8 hours (early start)

  • Scenic drive into Arunachal Pradesh

  • En route: Stop at local tribal villages

  • Overnight stay in Dirang

Day 8: Dirang → Tawang

Drive: ~5 hours

  • Cross Sela Pass (13,700 ft) and Jaswant Garh War Memorial

  • Visit Tawang Monastery (largest in India)

  • Explore local Tibetan-influenced markets

  • Overnight in Tawang

Day 9: Tawang → Guwahati (or Tezpur) for Departure

Option 1: Long drive back (~14 hours) – best to break journey at Tezpur
Option 2: If short on time, fly from Tezpur or Dibrugarh (if flights available)
